What should I wear? Our wedding will have a black-tie optional, festive formal dress code. Guests should stick with floor length or midi dresses, and suits. Please refrain from jeans, t-shirts, hats, cowboy boots, sneakers, flip flops, and of course hues of white. Click here for some more information on the dress code, and if you need some inspiration check out the Pinterest board we've curated.
-
Can I bring a guest?Due to limited venue capacity, we will only be able to accommodate those formally invited. If you've received a plus one it will be noted on your invitation and they will appear when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!
-
Are children welcome?Due to limited venue capacity, we are only able to accommodate a small number of children from our families. While we both love kids, unless they're specifically named on the invitation we've made the difficult decision to keep our wedding largely child-free. We hope that this gives parents a well earned night or weekend alone and appreciate you making accommodations in advance so that you're able to celebrate with us!
-
How do I get to the venues? Both of our venues are in located Downtown Sacramento and are easily accessible from any downtown hotel, either by car or foot. For guests staying in the Davis Wedding hotel blocks, we will provide Uber vouchers for travel to and from the wedding venues. Our ceremony venue is one block from our reception venue, and guests will be directed between venues after cocktail hour. For those who aren't able to take the 3 minute walk, we recommend using an Uber or Lyft.
-
Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors? While the reception will be take place indoors, our ceremony will be held outside! Be sure to bring a pair of sunglasses!
-
What type of weather should I expect?April in Sacramento typically consists of comfortable afternoons in the low 70s and brisk nights in the low 50s. As our ceremony will be outdoors, please check the weather in advance and dress accordingly.
-
When should I RSVP?After receiving our formal invitation, which will include the RSVP deadline, you will be able access the RSVP link via our wedding website. Unfortunately, as a final headcount must be given to our venues and vendors, if you do not RSVP by the deadline we will assume you cannot make it and you will not be included on the final guest list.
-
Can I take photos? We hope that our guests can honor our wish for an unplugged ceremony. This means that phones and other devices should be silenced and put away during the ceremony so that we are all able to be fully present. We will have a professional photographer documenting throughout the day, and we can't wait to share all of the photos after the wedding. Before the ceremony, during cocktail hour, and throughout the reception, taking photos is strongly encouraged!
-
Will there be an open bar?Yes! Drinks are on us, hangovers are on you.
-
I have a dietary restriction, will I be able to eat any of the food?Between us we have both celiac disease and a severe nut allergy, so you can be certain that there will be gluten- and nut-free options. We are also working with our caterers to ensure there will be plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Please specify if you have another allergy or restriction when you RSVP and we will let you know what our caterers can and cannot accommodate.
