How did Breeze propose?

on February 4, 2023 Johanna was finally able to see her favorite band, Rubblebucket, for the first time since moving from New York in 2017. as soon as we purchased tickets in November, I knew that this concert would be the perfect place to propose. I reached out to the band, hopeful for a response, and To my surprise they were eager to help me make this dream proposal a reality!  During Jo’s favorite song they came out into the crowd and led us up on stage. I was handed a mic and nervously ask Johanna to marry me in front of our close friends and hundreds of strangers. They finished out the song as I danced on stage, and Jo stood there in complete shock.  proposing in such a public way was very out of character for me, but i knew it that it was the perfect way to ask Johanna to spend the rest of her life with me.

How did Jo propose?

On March 25, 2023 I drove Breeze to Reno, Nevada under the guise of a weekend of slot machines and a greta van fleet concert with my dad. Reno is a sentimental place for breeze, as it's where their parents got married and their late father, a professional poker player, participated in many tournaments. When we arrived my dad handed me a custom scratch-off lottery ticket I had purchased months prior, told us to settle in and then meet him downstairs. an hour later I took breeze's hand, Physically shaking, and led them out to a private patio. I handed breeze the lottery ticket, and as they scratched off the numbers the message "will you marry me?" was revealed. we spent the next hour at the arcade and casino as a photographer captured the first moments of our

*second* engagement.
